It wasn’t until I was listing my favorite books recently that I realized I apparently like some mystery/thriller element to my books. I like reading romance and I love when some mystery is thrown in there, more than will they won’t they, but the kind where you gasp, ya know?

I can’t tell you how helpful it was for me as an author to develop and get to know my female and male main characters. I learned SO much about them! What they’re looking for in a person. What their perfect weekend would look like. How their friends would describe them. And I was able to fill in some plot holes afterward because I knew more of their backstory and motivations. I highly recommend this writing tip!
